Q: What is your favorite thing about teaching at GCA?
A: I love that GCA pairs a high academic rigor with a Christ centered approach. While it is exciting to see the students grow in knowledge, it is most rewarding to witness them mature in Christ. The greatest reward a teacher could ever experience is seeing a student accept Him as Lord of their lives.
Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: My husband and I often plan our vacations around the area's history and geography, and the Mediterranean is our favorite, particularly Turkey!
Q: What activities/hobbies are you involved in?
A: My personal hobbies include reading history books and Puritan writings, kickboxing, weightlifting, and spending time with my wonderful husband and two dogs. My volunteer hobbies include group and personal Bible studies, teaching English and citizenship at the local literacy center, planning children's activities at church, and giving seminars on church history.
Q: How have you seen your faith in Christ grow over the last decade while at GCA?
A: GCA has paired high standards with a loving approach. From the way that administration interacts with staff to the way that parents support the teachers, being at GCA has helped me become a more loving Christian. It has also assisted me in being more comfortable sharing Jesus with others. Rather than just talk about Him at worship or Bible time, it has become an ongoing conversation that is integrated throughout the day, no matter what activity we are involved in. One of my greatest spiritual blessings is being at GCA!
