A Message

from our

Head of

School

Cadia Parks

We're thrilled to begin our 11th school year — and to celebrate our largest enrollment yet with 129 students! We've welcomed three new staff members, bringing our total team to 21 dedicated employees.

Looking back over the past decade, it's incredible to see how God has grown our school — not just in numbers, but in faith, community, and purpose.

This year, our guiding verse is Matthew 5:13–16, and we're excited to help our students grow as the salt and light of the earth. We look forward with anticipation to all that God has in store for our school community in the year ahead.

Students sing and dance in last Friday's assembly.

GCA students can be found reciting scripture, singing in worship, and learning from area pastors every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in assembly.

Q: What is your favorite thing about teaching at GCA?

A: I love that GCA pairs a high academic rigor with a Christ centered approach. While it is exciting to see the students grow in knowledge, it is most rewarding to witness them mature in Christ. The greatest reward a teacher could ever experience is seeing a student accept Him as Lord of their lives.

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A: My husband and I often plan our vacations around the area's history and geography, and the Mediterranean is our favorite, particularly Turkey!

Q: What activities/hobbies are you involved in?

A: My personal hobbies include reading history books and Puritan writings, kickboxing, weightlifting, and spending time with my wonderful husband and two dogs. My volunteer hobbies include group and personal Bible studies, teaching English and citizenship at the local literacy center, planning children's activities at church, and giving seminars on church history.

Q: How have you seen your faith in Christ grow over the last decade while at GCA?

A: GCA has paired high standards with a loving approach. From the way that administration interacts with staff to the way that parents support the teachers, being at GCA has helped me become a more loving Christian. It has also assisted me in being more comfortable sharing Jesus with others. Rather than just talk about Him at worship or Bible time, it has become an ongoing conversation that is integrated throughout the day, no matter what activity we are involved in. One of my greatest spiritual blessings is being at GCA!

Mrs. Perry has been faithfully serving GCA since its inception. Thank you for 10 years and counting!

  • Summer Reading Challenge: Over summer, GCA students were encouraged to read as many books as possible. In total, the GCA student body ready 133,288 total pages this summer
  • Art Curriculum Update: It's a new year and Ms. Acs is excited to begin a new curriculum with all of the students. Here is a note from her on the new curriculum entitled Made Makers:

"Made Makers is a Christian art & design education platform with a strong foundation in creativity and faith. It's more than just a curriculum; it is a stand for truth, a tool for strengthening relationships, and a commitment to raising up the next generation of artists who will shape culture rather than be shaped by it. I discovered this program when I wasn't even looking, praise the Lord!"
